Socket Shoulder Bolt

Socket Shoulder Bolt

Alloy Steel Shoulder Screws

Comparable in strength to Grade 8 steel. These screws have inch thread sizes.

Metric Alloy Steel Shoulder Screws

More corrosion Comparable to Class 12.9 steel.

Short-Thread Alloy
Steel Shoulder Screws

More corrosUse these screws in thin materials; they have a shorter threaded portion than our standard shoulder screws. They’re comparable in strength to Grade 8 steel.

Metric Same-Size Thread Alloy
Steel Shoulder Screws

The metric -sized threads on these screws are the same diameter as the shoulder. Comparable in strength to Class 12.9 steel.

Alloy Steel Shoulder Screws with Material Certification

These shoulder screws come with a traceable lot numThese shoulder screws come with a traceable lot number and material test report. Similar in strength to Grade 8 steel.

18-8 Stainless Steel Shoulder Screws

Made from 18-8 stainless steel, these inch-sized shoulder screws have good chemical resistance.

Same-Size Thread 18-8 Stainless Steel Shoulder Screws

With inch-sized threads the same diameter as the shoulder, these screws can handle heavy loads. They’re 18-8 stainless steel for good chemical resistance.

316 Stainless Steel Shoulder Screws

These metric alloy-steel More corrosion resistant than 18-8 stainless steel shoulder screws, these have excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water. These screws have inch thread sizes.

Metric 316 Stainless Steel Shoulder Screws

For metric thread sizes with excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water, choose these 316 stainless steel shoulder screws.

Nylon Shoulder Screws

These shoulder screws are chemical resistant, nonconductive, and lightweight.

Aluminum Shoulder Screws

One-third the weight of steel, aluminum shoulder screws are lightweight and have good corrosion resistance.

Titanium Shoulder Screws

Titanium shoulder screws have a high strength-to-weight ratio and are more resistant to acids and salt water than nickel shoulder screws.

U-Bolt

U-Bolt

Stronger than routing clamps and hangers, U-bolts support heavy pipe, tube, and conduit from ceilings, walls, and poles. Black-oxide steel U-bolts have mild corrosion resistance. Zinc-plated steel U-bolts have good corrosion resistance in most environments. Galvanized steel U-bolts have better corrosion resistance than black-oxide and zinc-plated steel U- bolts. Aluminum U-bolts are lighter weight and more corrosion resistant than steel U-bolts, but aren’t as strong. 304 stainless steel U-bolts have excellent corrosion resistance and good chemical resistance. 316 stainless steel U-bolts have excellent corrosion and chemical resistance. U-bolts with four nuts allow you to secure the U-bolt from the top and the bottom.

U-BOLTS
(STANDARD STYLE)

Low Carbon Steel. Zinc Platted.

Also Available in Hot Dipped Galvanized.

Consult a representative for stock and availability on the variety of dimensions offered for each thread size, U-Bolts provided with hex nuts. Straps furnished if required. Extra Long Style and additional sizes for pipe up to 36″ wide are also available upon request and custom made to order. We also have neo-coated U-bolts with rubber coating available.

Plow Bolt

Plow Bolt

Used on heavy equipment, such as plows, these bolts have a smooth, flat
head that’s angled underneath to sit flush within countersunk holes. A square neck keeps them from turning when tightening a nut. The zinc plating provides corrosion resistance in wet environments.

Carriage Bolts

Carriage bolts (round head with a square neck) are
commonly used in wood connections. The square
neck under the round head will seat into the hole in
the wood to prevent the head from turning. Because
they are used with wood, carriage bolts are rarely
high strength and virtually always supplied in a
standard ASTM A307 specification.

Elevator Bolt

Elevator Bolt

ASTM A193 Grade B16 stud bolts are high strength fasteners manufactured from heat treated Chromium-Molybdenum-Vanadium steel, quenched and tempered. Added Vanadium allows for operating temperature About half the strength of medium-strength bolts, these steel
bolts are good for light duty applications. They are commonly
used in tight spaces with moving parts, such as grain elevators
and other belting systems, because the smooth, low-profile head
provides a flush fit when installed. A square neck keeps these
bolts from turning when tightening a nut. Zinc plating provides
corrosion resistance in wet environments.

ASTM A307
Grade A and B
(Mechanical Properties)

A307

Hex bolts are available in two dimensional standards:

Hex bolts in a size range from 1/4″ thru 3/4″ in diameter
and in lengths 8 inches and shorter are often shipped from Cap-screw
stock at the Hex bolt price. However, when ordered as hex bolts there
is no guarantee that they will meet all Cap-screw requirements.

The ASTM A307 specification covers carbon steel bolts and studs ranging from 1/4″ through 4″ diameter. This is your everyday, run of the mill bolt specification often manufactured using A36 round bar. There are three grades A, B, and C* which denote tensile strength, configuration, and application. Refer to the Mechanical Properties Chart for the subtle strength differences within each grade.

A307 Grades

A Headed bolts, threaded rods and bent bolts intended for general applications
B Heavy hex bolts and studs intended for flanged joints in piping systems with cast iron flanges.
